New World is set to launch on the 28th of September. In the time we’ve had with the New World preparations We think it’s safe to say we are ready! The original Schedule of release was in May 2020, and this would have been perfect due to the fact people were being Furloughed and needed something to do to pass the many hours just sat indoors. However, due to Covid-19, it was set back over a year until August 31st. Then came the Closed Beta in mid-June and apparently the Beta had too many issues for the developers to fix so they pushed it back to the current release date.

A lot of people played the Closed Beta, and many enjoyed it! We managed to put away 80+ hours in the 2 weeks that it was available, and I know many of the HH team put away a solid number of hours! And my conclusion was we thoroughly enjoyed it! We were gutted when the release date was pushed back because we were itching to play more! We kept watching back my footage of the Beta experience trying to relive it! Then out of the blue, the developers said there was to be an open Beta on the 9th of September for 3 days! So, we were straight on steam trying to get access to it so we could try out other weapons and see if there was a different experience we missed out on in the Closed Beta.

A thing we will try in this open Beta is seeing what way is most efficient to gain exp so we can level my character quicker because I felt like we missed a trick as we saw many characters out levelling me and we want to try and find the most effective way to gain the most exp without falling too far behind the storyline. We have a rough guideline for when you should hit max exp and that is 3 weeks after launch this is with consistent gameplay and not getting distracted by a weird-looking plant 😉.

To Prepare for launch have a chat with your friends about which server you all want to play on as this will be important to not lose anyone! Like the server choose a faction beforehand so if anyone gets in early then they won’t be held back and can get levelling the faction! Whenever the game becomes live you should preinstall it to save time on launch day, we all know there will be crazy long queues. Have a chat with your company to see what people are planning to play for example I plan to play either a healer or tank so I’ll relay that information onto my company so they can plan accordingly what they will play. This way you can focus on levelling the correct weapon earlier and gain exp quicker.

If you are planning to play the Open Beta let us know your thoughts on it!
