Why hasn’t Amazon been successful so far with games?

Amazon has tried to make many games before and they’ve not been all that successful so why are they still trying? A few previous games that Amazons Studios have released are Airport Mania 1 and 2, Dragon’s Lair and the Grand tour game. Let’s be honest looking at these titles can you be excited for them? They also have cancelled projects such as Lord of the Rings MMO and Crucible. These fell apart because of disputes which led to the games collapsing and therefore being cancelled. It’s sad to see because that could have filled a gap for fans during the Furlough period where gaming was a comfort for some people.

Now because these games haven’t been successful in the past people were worried about Amazon’s Studios creating New World. This was their last shot at creating a game as the funding they were receiving was being threatened. So New World needed to shine and fill the gap that Amazon studios envisioned. People have reasons for worrying about New World and whether or not it will be good and playable. But because Amazon has pushed the game back multiple times it also adds fear to the player base if the game would actually get released but here we are days away from launch and it still looks promising to go ahead!

So do we think New World will be a success? We hope so. being in both the Beta’s with combined times of over 500 hours we have a good feel for the game and they are all positives! But the game will make or break on their community so if the game can pull together and create and a nice, big community then the game has a greater chance of being very successful! After seeing comments and peoples views from the Beta’s we are positive this game will be a big hit! Another reason for the potential success for New World is the gap in the market for MMO’s as WoW is starting to sink and this may be the push MMO players needed to convert to New World and start a new community!

Is New World going to be Amazon’s Studios most decorated game? Yes especially with the current titles they’ve released New World will top their games! With this being a positive game it will encourage more games to follow suit in the Amazon Studios camp. So we can see that they can make a successful game, therefore, more should be available in the future as we’ve seen it can be done!
