Here are our first impressions of Amazons New World!

So the launch date was yesterday 28/09/21. The game has finally been released after many moons of setbacks and was it what we expected? The gameplay and graphics yes it’s great exactly what we were after but servers and queue times no not ideal! Yes, we were expecting queues but capping 2000 a server it’s a feelsbadman scenario! We just want to play! We got up at 6 am prepping for the 7 am launch and we sat in the queue ready to go.

Lockers was first in after sitting in the queue for an hour and then the server crashed and got booted then he sat in a queue for 11.5 hours waiting to get back in! He had a great session of questing, hemp farming and mining! Lockers found the Life staff was right for him.

Saph and HH had queues of about 2 hours at the start but managed to get in then HH had some stuff to do and went AFK for roughly 30 mins then got booted and couldn’t get back into the game for another 5 hours sat in what feels like the longest queue in the world! HH was playing a fire mage and enjoyed missing skill shots. ;)

But Saph got in and stayed in like a pro and carried the HH gaming team like a pro! He didn’t experience any issues and had a great game of chopping trees and collecting hemp! Saph progressed the furthest out of all of the HH gaming group and is very close to fighting the expedition! Saph found his fun from the rapier and sliced and diced his enemies.

Neva and Phixion didn’t get much joy playing on launch day and tried to get through the introduction but had to drop out for the day. But on the second day, Neva got in and found joy in the game and is questing happily but for some reason can’t find any sheep!

Phixion however has had the worst luck with getting to the 4th position in the queue then lightning strikes and he has a blackout and is kicked from the queue back to the 4000’s! This was enough for him to give up for the day and we don’t blame him. On the second day, he had been put to the back of the queue and when he got to the middle the queue had an error and he was booted to the back once again. Been a rough start but he’ll catch up!

So overall we had a mixed bag of experience but the people that got in to play had a great time playing and got lost in the world of Aeternum! Let us know in the comments your experience of New World!
